Great Things About The Aussiedoodle Dog

About Me
Choosing New Pets

I have always loved animals, but when my son announced that he wanted a new pet, I had to stop and think about it for awhile. I was nervous that it would make messes throughout my house, and I wasn't sure that he was capable of looking after the animal like he should. I began thinking about how to streamline his experience, and within a few days, we had agreed on a pet we could both love: a cute little parakeet. This website is for anyone out there who is thinking about adding a pet or two to their home.

Great Things About The Aussiedoodle Dog

Hybrid dogs have become very popular because people have learned that breeding dogs of different breeds together creates dogs that have some of the good traits of both of those breeds. This can give you the opportunity to have a dog that fits into your family perfectly. One popular hybrid breed is the Aussiedoodle. Aussiedoodle puppies are half Australian shepherd and half poodle. Their unique pedigree typically gives Aussiedoodles the following five fantastic traits:

1: Intelligent

Both Australian Shepherds and poodles are intelligent dogs Purebred Australian shepherds are so intelligent that they can be a bit challenging for some owners because they can learn things that the owner may not want them to. Breeding the Aussie with a poodle leads to dogs that are still highly intelligent, but which may be better suited for more inexperienced dog owners because they still learn easily, but not to the point of being problematic so long as they are given an outlet for their intelligence. If not given an outlet such as regular training that isn't too repetitive, an Aussiedoodle can become bored. But their intelligence allows them to adapt quickly to even complex training commands, so the results are well worth the effort.

2: Friendliness Toward Humans

Aussiedoodles are happy-go-lucky dogs that are loyal to their family, but friendly with just about everyone. They make good therapy dogs because of their inviting disposition. They also make good emotional support dogs for their owners because they can bond so closely to their human that they seem to know when their person needs some extra attention, and they are happy to oblige. Owners just need to make sure that their dog is either trained to be independent from an early age or not left completely alone to avoid any potential separation anxiety.

3: Limited Shedding

Since Aussiedoodles are half-poodle, they are a non-shedding breed. The fact that they don't shed very much makes them great indoor dogs. They can be cuddled, lie on the furniture, ride in the car, and run around your home without leaving fur all over.

4: Friendliness Toward Other Animals

Aussiedoodles are known for being great with other animals. When they are introduced to animals such as other dogs, cats, goats, or any other type of animal when they are younger, then they will normally grow to be very friendly toward those types of animals in the future. In fact, many are great with other animals, whether they were raised around them or not.

Australian Shepherds often pass on their herding instincts to their Aussiedoodle puppies, so don't be surprised if some herding behavior shows through around other animals or even children. They don't mean any harm, and they should quickly pick up any needed training to avoid any potential problems from the behavior.

5: Potential to be Energetic or Calm

Another thing that is great about the Aussiedoodle is that it is a sporty dog that will be excited at the opportunity to go on long walks, nature hikes, or adventures in the park. They have plenty of energy, but they also know how to settle down and be calm when they are home. Just make sure their energy has a regular outlet, such as a daily walk or run.
